Small Beats Big Tip 2: Speculate With Your Time
Now... your time isn't free. In fact that's something that many small service businesses lose sight of. However, it is yours to control, and you have the scope to direct it in ways that bigger businesses may find hard to replicate, or to justify to their timekeepers.
For example: Invest a little more time in forming and keeping genuine, quality, relationships with your key contacts (prospects, clients, suppliers, customers, introducers, advocates...). These contacts will notice, and value, this more personal and interested approach, and the contrast it forms with your big-ger rivals.
Keep in mind: Don't under-value, or be careless with your time either. It's still a valuable and limited resource, and you need to be conscious about where you are investing it.
